Tend is a cycle-support app for the partner. It starts with general information about menstrual cycles and replaces it, month by month, with what you actually notice about her.
No account needed for her. Nothing for her to install.

Every cycle app tells you what happens to women. Tend is built to stop doing that as fast as possible, and start telling you about her instead. Everything on screen is labelled with where it came from.
Textbook information. Honest about being a guess.
Something that happened, and that you logged.
Learned from her own history.

Everything shown is general cycle information.
First signals recorded. General information still leads.
Her own patterns move above the general guidance.
Her history becomes the primary source.
Tend never says “she will be irritable today”. It says “in previous cycles, increased sensitivity has sometimes been recorded around this point”, with a confidence indicator attached.

Five phases with day ranges worked out from her actual cycle, not a textbook 28 days. Each covers what's common, what usually helps, and how desire tends to move, always naming the case where she notices nothing.
Cramps, backache, tiredness. Practical, low-pressure care.
Energy often returning. A good window for plans.
Estimated only. Never shown as a confirmed date.
Consistency and a calmer house. Listen before fixing.
Reduce demands. Don't chase a disagreement tonight.
“Anything I can do to make you more comfortable today?”
Mark any suggestion helped, neutral, or didn't help. Tend reorders them and tells you why it chose what it chose: “practical help has been marked helpful four times in this phase.”
Check-ins take about ten seconds and everything in them is optional. Two or three a cycle is enough, and there is no streak to keep up.
Tend nudges twice a cycle at most, and stops asking if you don't answer.
Tap any past day to see what you recorded and how it compares.

Hormonal contraception suppresses or overrides the natural cycle. Most partner apps show a follicular phase anyway. Tend switches phase estimates off, says why, and stops predicting dates it cannot know.
Phases off, day count kept. A break-week bleed is named as a withdrawal bleed.
No phases and no date estimate. Bleeding is often irregular or absent.
The learning engine keeps working. It switches from cycle position to recency, and on these methods that becomes the whole product.
Consent is a gate in setup, not a line in a policy. She gets a link with no account and nothing to install. She can see everything you've recorded, delete any of it, or switch you off from her side without telling you.
Her access, data export and deletion are free on every plan, permanently.
Cycle, symptom and mood data never goes to advertising or generic analytics.
Caring about your partner is not a daily quest.
Tend does not track intimacy or offer “timing insights”.
Her cycle may influence how she feels physically or emotionally, but it should never be used to dismiss her feelings or assume a disagreement is “just hormones.”

Most apps notify to drive retention. Tend caps itself: one a day, six a cycle, delivered early evening because everything it suggests is for tonight. Every message carries a one-tap action.
Period and phase alerts switch off entirely on hormonal contraception.
When she taps something on her link it ignores every cap. It's the only one carrying something she actually said.
Nothing ships that names her mood as a prediction, tells you how to behave toward her, or mentions sex.
The trial is measured in her cycles, not our calendar. Nothing is charged until Tend has three of her cycles behind it and can start telling you about her instead of about women in general. That takes about three months, so that is how long the trial runs.

Her phase and cycle day, the full phase guide, the lines to say, period logging, the calendar, unlimited check-ins, her access link, every privacy control, and all of Learn.
Her learned patterns, the Patterns tab, support ranked by what you've marked helpful, full calendar history, and reminders drawn from her pattern.
No weekly plan. A week's notice before any charge, then a reminder the day before.

Yes, and Tend won't let you past setup without confirming it. You'll be asked to agree that she knows, that you won't use it to dismiss her feelings, and that she can see or delete anything in the app. She then gets her own link to do exactly that.
No. She has no account and nothing to install. If you turn her link on, she opens a web page, sees what you've recorded, and can change it, delete it, or revoke your access from her side.
Tend turns phase estimates off. Combined pills, implants, injections and hormonal coils suppress or override the natural cycle, so follicular and luteal phases wouldn't mean anything. Check-ins, support and learned patterns keep working, and become the whole product.
No. Tend is not a contraceptive, fertility, diagnostic or medical tool, and it must never be used to avoid or achieve pregnancy. Ovulation cannot be confirmed from dates, which is why Tend only ever shows an estimated window and says so.
Never. It tells you what has been recorded before, with a confidence indicator, and it says clearly that a bad Tuesday is usually just a bad Tuesday.
Sensitive entries are encrypted, never sold, and never used for advertising. You can export everything or delete any single entry, and account deletion is immediate. None of that sits behind the paywall.
